What is HGH?

Hormones are chemical messengers in our body. Our growth, digestion, reproductive, and sexual functions are affected by hormones. Hormones are made up of amino acids. HGH occurs more than any other hormone produced by the pituitary gland and is very complex. HGH is made up of a molecule composed of 191 amino acids. These amino acids are stimulated by the brain's pituitary gland to release in pulses, for the most part occurring during the initial phases of deep sleep.

Growth hormone is a fast worker once it is released in the blood. Within 30 minutes or so it has done its job and is gone, just long enough to reach the liver. After reaching the liver, it is converted into Insulin-like Growth Factor Type 1(IGF) and various metabolites that regulate and control metabolic response. IGF is a hormone just like HGH, but it is easier to measure in the blood stream because it stays in the blood stream longer. HGH starts this conversion in the body, but IGF-1 is what does most of the work. In the body, these hormone-like proteins and peptides promote growth, nourishment, and repair of cells, which are needed to rebuild tissues damaged by injury, illness, or the effects of old age.

HGH reaches its peak in the body during adolescence. This would seem natural since HGH stimulates our body to grow. Unfortunately, secretion of HGH begins to gradually decline after adolescence, especially decreasing in our older years. However, in recent studies, it was shown that young or old, pituitary glands are capable of producing similar amounts of HGH, if adequately stimulated.

How HGH Works?

HGH, a complex molecule composed of 191 amino acids, is released from the pituitary gland in pulses, primarily during the initial phases of slow wave sleep. HGH is converted in the liver to Insulin-like Growth Factor Type 1 (IGF-1) and other growth factors. These hormone-like proteins and peptides promote growth, nourishment and repair of cells and are needed to rebuild tissues damaged by injury, illness or aging.

IGF-1, which is believed to be responsible for the majority of positive changes associated with increased HGH, can be measured in the blood and is generally used as an indicator of HGH levels in the body. Because of its healing and tissue regeneration properties, HGH has been used for patients who were injured, severely burned, recovering from surgery or severely malnourished. Its effects are seen throughout the body in the organs, nerves, brain, muscles, bones, skin, hair, and nails.

Look Younger with HGH

HGH Anti-Aging Therapy not only makes people feel younger and more energetic, they actually look younger, too. Excess body fat disappears, muscles firm up, and the production of skin proteins like collagen and elastin is activated. Skin gets thicker and stronger, the dehydration that occurs with age is reversed, wrinkling is reversed to some degree, and the "bounce" characteristic of young skin returns...on the face and the rest of the body as well. Skin hanging from the upper arm signals loss of growth hormone in women.

When HGH is restored, the skin can tighten back up. HGH also appears to have a tonic effect on hair. Although there are no double-blind studies in this area, most patients report faster hair growth and thicker texture. Some have seen gray hair return to it's original color and, in the 202-patient assessment at Palm Springs Life Extension Institute, 38% reported new hair growth.

HGH Tips

What is something that goes up but never comes down? Your age!

Aging is something that humans would love to conquer. Everyone seems to be obsessed in staying young. Of course, nobody wants to be the senile old man who depends for other person for everything. Nobody would want their bones to become denser, their skin loose and wrinkled, their knees buckling every time they stand up, their sights becoming blurred or worse becoming blind. Nobody would want to have those persistent backaches or have a losing combat with Alzheimer’s disease. Aging does not mean that you have to be frail, weak, bitter and depressed.

While some of the many evils of aging requires doctors’ attention. Relaxing and maintaining a positive outlook in life is effective in combating aging. Stress will help you age. Unhealthy habits and laziness will help you age. Vices will not do any good for you.

Here are some tips to help you win the war on aging and getting there gracefully.

1. There is a big difference between growing old and growing up. Anybody can grow older even if he is doing nothing. The best idea is to grow up and find the opportunity to change for the better.

2. You have to have a goal or a dream. So many people are like walking zombies. They do not know where to go.

3. Have no regrets.

4. Laugh and find humor everyday. An aging person with a young, positive attitude will never feel old. “To keep the heart unwrinkled, to be hopeful, kindly, cheerful, reverent that is to triumph over old age. “- Amos Bronson Alcott

5. Be adaptive and learn to accept change. Willingness to grow personally is a hallmark of one with a young outlook.

6. Remember that you are as young as you feel. “When it comes to staying young, a mind-lift beats a face-lift any day.”-Marty Bucella

7. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be alive while you are alive, do not put out a mailbox on the highway of death and just wait in residence for your mail.

8. Enjoy the simple things. When the children are young, that is all that you can afford. When they are in college, that is all that you can afford. When you are on retirement, that is all that you can afford!

9. Surround yourself with what you love. Make your home your refuge.
